The mum of a three-year-old who died after a tragic accident has paid a touching tribute to her ‘beautiful’ little boy.
Brave Leanne Magee posted an emotional message on her ‘Bookandpamper’ Facebook page alongside a picture of her with little Harry.
The tragic tot died on Tuesday after a car accident in the Aghalee area of Co Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Leanne wrote: “My little boy Harry sadly passed away today in a car accident, we as a family are completely heartbroken and I will reply to emails and messages as soon as I can.”
It added that “we as a family need to grieve over our beautifully little boy, who had so much love and passion for life. I honestly can not believe this is happening”.
In a heartbreaking post on her own page she said Harry is “getting loads of bed time stories tonight” along with a picture of some of his books.
Leanne said: “My heart is broken baby! But reading to you tonight has brought me so much comfort!
“I love you Harry more than you will ever know, my wee love!
“I love you more than you can imagine love from your mummy.”
Harry’s funeral will take place on Saturday and will be private due to the current Covid restrictions.
A funeral notice said he was the “dearly beloved son of Patrick and Leanne… and loving brother of Cameron and Charlie, much loved grandson of Charles and Sandra Magee and loving nephew of Fiona, Clare, Susanna, Francis and the late Andrew RIP. Harry’s death is “very deeply regretted by his loving daddy, mummy, brothers, grandparents, aunties, uncle, cousins and family circle.”
Harry’s heartbroken family has asked for donations to be made to the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance, which was called to the scene of the tragedy involving the toddler.
Alliance leader and Justice Minister Naomi Long said the incident was “such a tragedy for the family”.
She said it was “heart-breaking”, adding: “I can’t begin to imagine what they are going through right now.”
